Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari is dealing with brake problems. The company was sued in the United States over a brake problem on a 458 Italia. Allegedly, Ferrari did not properly resolve the brake problem in the car and only applied a temporary procedure. Here are the details about the subject…
Ferrari is accused of finding a temporary solution to the brake problem!
A 458 Italia owner living in the United States filed a lawsuit against Ferrari. The user claimed that he wanted to make a 90-degree turn with his 2010 model 458 Italia, but the vehicle did not react when he applied the brakes. After the incident, the user who returned his car to the brand stated that the problem was not resolved and filed a lawsuit against the brand.
This issue actually goes back further. Because the brand called for a voluntary recall for the 458 Italia, 458 Speciale, 458 Speciale Aperta, 458 Spider, 488 GTB and 488 Spider models, in short, for the 458 family. He stated that brake fluid fluid could cause a leak in the system in the 458 model family and sought solutions to this problem. When the call was made, Ferrari actually did not have enough information about how to solve the problem.
Subsequently, the brand expanded the scope of this recall to models up to 2005. According to the analysis, it was reported that the system did not receive enough air and this process could cause leaks by creating a vacuum effect in the system. The 458 model family was not included in this call made in the first half of 2022.
An authorized Ferrari dealer commented that this problem experienced by 458 users in the USA was “normal”. The user then appealed to the district court. In the lawsuit filed, it was claimed that the company endangered the lives of users and found “temporary solutions” for automobiles. The brand did not make a statement on the subject.
So what do you think about this issue? What do you think will be Ferrari’s attitude towards the lawsuit? Don’t forget to share your comments with us…
